Class 5 have been busy painting these beautiful watercolour cherry blossoms trees. Children also enjoyed dancing with their dragons. Well done Class 5!
Class 6 had a fun afternoon working on their origami skills, improving their Chinese writing and they even managed to look at Chinese tangrams.
Class worked hard on their writing skills and learned how to draw some of the Chinese characters for their names!Amazing work boys and girls!
There have been so many amazing competition entries handed in this week. It is going to be so hard to choose the winners!
As Classes 2 and 3 are out tomorrow, the winners will be announced in assembly on Monday. Well done to all who entered and good luck! Class 5 have been busy making Chinese fortune cookies. They worked so well together to bake these delicious treats and they looked and tasted wonderful!
Class 2 enjoyed listening and dancing to Chinese music accompanied by the Pipa. Yumei sang some wonderful Chinese folk songs and children sang nursery rhymes. Boys and girls also acted out the zodiac story of the New Year and made lots of noise with their lovely drums.
Class 6 have been making these wonderfully intricate origami flowers in class today. Each part is made up of smaller triangular folded pieces of paper and they slot together to make these beautiful flowers.
What an artistic class! Class 3 made some beautiful lanterns today. They also learned a rap song all about Chinese food to celebrate the New Year!
Class 1 learned all about the Pipa, a traditional Chinese instrument. They listened to Yumei playing it and danced beautifully to an array of Chinese folk songs.
Pupils in Class 6 worked with Chun Chao, our Chinese paper crafting artist. They created these ornate cut out patterns using their scissors skills. Children also learned how to use Chinese paint brushes and practised writing Chinese characters.
